Hawk took eleven years to do it and could not hide his excitement after that. Thus, his major career- achievement came when he landed the first-ever documented 900 (skateboarder revolves 900 degrees in the air). He won 10 gold, three silver, and two bronze medals in the X Games. Hence, he was a pioneer in setting up Extreme Games (later X games) in 1995 as the sport got back its mojo. However, things changed during the early 90s as skateboarding lost its charm. Hawk invented many skateboarding moves like the gymnast plant, the ollie-to-Indy, the Saran wrap, and the frontside 540-rodeo flip. The legendary skateboarder became the National Skateboard Association world champion for 12 consecutive years likewise, won 70 competitions in his career. By the age of 16, he became one of the best skateboarders in the world. Thus, his career as a skateboarder begins. Significantly, he got his first sponsor at the age of 12 from Dogtown Skateboards while turning a professional at the very young age of 14.
